Products Description

Ductile iron flanged fittings are cast pipeline components designed for potable water transmission, sewage pumping mains, and fire protection ring mains. The product range includes short radius elbows, equal tees, concentric reducers, eccentric reducers, and blind flanges. Each fitting is factory applied with internal and external coating to resist corrosion from soil, moisture, and conveyed media.

These are not brittle grey iron fittings. Ductile iron has 400MPa tensile strength and 15% elongation. The fitting bends before it breaks. It handles pressure surges and ground movement.

Full-Face EPDM Gaskets – 3mm thick rubber. Matches the flange face exactly. One gasket per flange connection.

Flat Ring Gaskets (RF) – For raised face flanges. Standard for EN and ANSI flanges.

Flange Bolt Sets – Carbon steel Grade 8.8 with zinc plating. Includes bolts, nuts, and washers. Correct length for your fitting thickness.

Stainless Steel Bolt Sets – A2 or A4 stainless steel. For corrosive environments or drinking water service.

Threaded Flanges – Flange with internal thread instead of plain bore. Screws onto threaded pipe.

Lapped Flanges – Rotates freely on pipe. Helps align bolt holes when pipe is fixed.

Backing Flanges – For stub ends. Allows use of plastic-lined fittings with ductile iron flanges.

Quality Assurance

 

Hydrostatic Pressure Test – Fill fitting with water. Pressurize to 1.5x rated pressure. Hold for 60 seconds. No water through the casting wall. No porosity. No weeping.

Material Tensile Test – Sample from each melt. Must achieve 400 MPa and 15% elongation. We keep records for each heat number.

Flange Face Inspection – Check flatness and surface finish. Must meet standard requirements. No gouges, no warping, no raised areas.

Lining Thickness Test – Measure at multiple points. Minimum thickness per EN 545 or EN 598. No thin spots allowed.

Lining Adhesion Test – Tap or cross-cut test. Lining must not separate from the iron.

Coating Thickness Test – Magnetic gauge measurement. Minimum 250 microns for epoxy. Even coverage required.

Dimensional Check – Compare to drawing. Bolt circle diameter, number of holes, hole size, face-to-face length. All must match standard.
